Review| essie chinchilly

I got this colour a while back as it came in a set. I chucked this colour to the back of my collection of nail polishes as I thought it looked an average colour and wouldn't go well with my skin colour. A couple of days ago I was going through my nail polishes trying to decide which colour to paint my nails this time, and I came across Mr chinchilly lurking at the back. so I thought 'oh eck I will give it a try', and I am very glad I did!

The colour is lovely and comes out as a muted grey with a hint of purple. At different angles the colour looks slightly different. I feel this colour would suit any skin tone, and it suits mine which is very pale. It does not make your hands look dead, which I was initially worried about when I thought about putting it on my nails.

The polish is quite sheer and took my three layers to reach an fully opaque colour, the first two layers were also streaky in some parts. This is the only downfall of the product as it takes a while to apply the polish as you have to wait for it to dry between each layer. But don't let this minor problem hold you back from buying this polish, as it is a lovely colour!

It has lasted four days before any chips appeared, which I think is an average amount of time for a middle of the market nail polish.

This colour would be perfect for any occasion as it an very laid back, neutral colour. I will be wearing this colour a lot through the autumn months and into winter.
